At WorkNet, we understand that privacy is foundational to the platform. This policy describes what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding it, in accordance with the Israel Privacy Protection Law (1981) and Amendment 13 to the law.
Who is responsible for your data
The controller of the WorkNet database is Avner Lubman, a licensed sole proprietor (Osek Murshe) who operates WorkNet. You can contact him about any privacy matter:

1. What Information We Collect
Information You Actively Provide
- Personal details: full name, email, phone number
- Professional details: role, years of experience, field, portfolio, salary expectations
- Information about your current employer (for Stealth Mode only — not disclosed to anyone)
- Message content in chats between parties
- Recordings of video interviews on the platform
- Payment details and company details (for employers)
- Your CV - a file you uploaded or one sent to cv@worknet.co.il (also by a recruiter or an acquaintance), and the text and details extracted from it
- Details of referees you provide, and what referees share in a reference call
You are under no legal obligation to give us any information. Providing it depends on your free will and consent. However, without a name, email and phone we cannot open an account for you; without professional details or a CV we cannot present you to employers or match you with roles; and without company and payment details we cannot verify an employer or bill for a placement. Other information, such as a photo, references and salary expectations, is optional. If you do not provide it, your matches will simply be narrower.

CVs we received from someone else
Sometimes a CV reaches us not from you but from a recruiter we work with, an acquaintance who recommended you, or an employer who forwarded it (for example to cv@worknet.co.il). In that case we notify you by email or SMS, using the details in the CV, that we received your CV, with a personal link where you can open your profile or decline. What we stored from the file (name, contact details, roles, experience and education) and why is set out in this section. Until you approve, your profile is not shown to employers; only WorkNet recruiters can see it, in order to match you with roles. If it is not relevant to you, the page in the link you received lets you opt out and we will not contact you again, and you can write to privacy@worknet.co.il and we will delete the file and your details.
2. How We Use the Information
- Display of anonymous profile — name, current employer, and personal details are not shown to employers until an agreement is signed
- Matching candidates to employers — AI Matching based on the criteria you set
- Identity verification — professional verification and reference checks
- Service improvement — aggregate analytics, bug fixes
- Communications — emails about outreach, interviews, placements
- Compliance with legal obligations — Israel Employment Service Law, Israel Consumer Protection Law
3. Sharing Information with Third Parties
We do not sell your information. Sharing takes place exclusively with:
- Employers — only your anonymous profile; contact details only after a placement agreement is signed
- Service providers — Hetzner (server and database hosting, Finland), Cloudflare (DNS and storage of backups and agreement documents), Google Gemini and Anthropic (AI: CV extraction, job matching, career tools and transcription - they receive profile and CV content), PayPlus (payments), Green Invoice (invoices), Daily.co (video), Brevo (email), SMS4FREE (SMS and verification codes), Google (Sign in with Google). Some providers operate outside Israel (the US and the EU)
- Authorities — only under a court order or legal obligation
4. Information Security
- Passwords are encrypted (bcrypt × 12)
- Communication over HTTPS / TLS 1.3
- JWT with signature and expiration
- Access restricted to WorkNet staff only
- CV files cannot be reached directly from the internet - downloads go through an authenticated route only
5. Your Rights
Under the Israel Privacy Protection Law, you have the right to:
- Access the information we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate information
- Delete the account at any time
- Receive the information in a portable format
- Object to certain processing

6. Data Retention
- Active profile — for as long as the account is active
- Outreach and interview history — as long as the account is active
- Interview recordings and transcripts — as long as the account is active, or until you ask us to delete them
- Invoices and payment details — 7 years (required under the VAT Law)
7. Cookies
We use only strictly necessary cookies: authentication, preferences, and account state. Today the site has no third-party measurement or marketing tool, and we do not use third-party marketing cookies. If we add such a tool in the future, we will list it here, and it will load only after you choose “Accept all”. If you choose “Necessary only”, it will not load at all. Your choice is stored in the wn_consent cookie for six months, and you can change it at any time:
